RecruitBlock.

A website for a recruitment and executive search firm working in digital assets. It had to bring in strong candidates and convince employers that RecruitBlock finds the right people in a narrow field, without breaking anything that already worked.

My scope: the redesign, the build and the move from the old site. The content is RecruitBlock's own.

01 · The brief

Two audiences, measured apart.

RecruitBlock places senior people in compliance, finance, growth and executive search, much of it in digital assets. Every placement has two sides. A candidate decides whether to trust a firm with their next move, and an employer decides whether this firm can find the few people who fit a specialist brief.

The previous site was starting to look dated, and employers and candidates came in through the same form, so neither could be measured on its own. Each now has its own enquiry route, tracked as its own goal.

02 · The idea

Shown first, then commissioned.

I reconceptualised the site and built a working version before anything was agreed, so RecruitBlock could judge the real thing rather than a set of mock-ups. They liked the new version enough to put it live.

It took 25 days from the first line of code on 3 October 2026 to launch on 28 October.

03 · The design

Their brand, a level up.

The palette is RecruitBlock's own. The work went into everything around it: sharper type, clearer routes for each audience, and an interface that responds to the visitor.

On the home page, a grid of points gathers into the RecruitBlock mark as the page loads, scatters as the cursor passes through it, and settles again.

04 · The build

A new front end, with nothing broken.

The front end is new, built in Next.js, and WordPress stays behind it. The team edits pages and articles as before, and a change goes live when they press Publish. All 37 pages moved across with their addresses kept or redirected, and jobs still arrive from Loxo. The site runs on Vercel.

The switch went live with no downtime, and every function worked from the first day. One person did the design, the build and the migration.
